⚠️ IMPORTANT – READ CAREFULLY BEFORE AGREEING

By signing below or accepting electronically, you acknowledge that you are giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue.

1. Assumption of Risk

I, the undersigned participant (“Participant”), understand that participation in cornhole events and related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

· Slips, trips, and falls 

· Being struck by bags or other objects 

· Equipment failure 

· Interaction with other participants or spectators 

· Risks associated with indoor/outdoor environments 

· Illness or medical emergencies 

I voluntarily assume all risks, known or unknown, associated with participation.

2. Release of Liability (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE)

To the fullest extent permitted by Washington law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless:

· Spokane Cornhole LLC, DBA Good Karma Cornhole 

· Event organizers, staff, volunteers, and agents 

· Event sponsors and partners 

· Property owners and venues 

· Vendors and affiliates 

(collectively, the “Released Parties”)

from any and all claims, demands, damages, or causes of action, including those arising from the NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASED PARTIES, related to any injury, illness, damage, or death arising from my participation.

3. Indemnification

I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising out of:

· My actions or participation 

· My violation of event rules 

· Injury or damage I cause to others or property 

4. Medical Authorization

I understand that no medical insurance is provided.
I authorize event staff to obtain emergency medical treatment if necessary and agree to be financially responsible for any such care.

5. Fitness to Participate

I certify that:

· I am physically able to participate 

· I have no medical condition that would make participation unsafe 

· I accept full responsibility for my physical condition 

6. Alcohol & Substance Responsibility

If alcohol is present:

· I assume all risks associated with alcohol consumption 

· I agree to act responsibly and comply with all laws 

· I understand that intoxication increases risk of injury 

7. Code of Conduct

I agree to follow all event rules and behave respectfully.
The event reserves the right to remove any participant without refundfor:

· Unsafe behavior 

· Unsportsmanlike conduct 

· Rule violations 

8. Injury Reporting

I agree to immediately report any injury or incident to event staff before leaving the premises.

9. Event Changes / No Refunds

I understand that:

· Event schedules, formats, or locations may change 

· Events may be delayed, modified, or canceled due to weather, safety, or other factors 

· Entry fees are non-refundable, except at the sole discretion of the organizer.

10. Photography & Media Release

I grant permission for the use of my name, image, and likeness in:

· Photos 

· Videos 

· Promotional materials 

without compensation.

11. Participant Responsibility (NO TEAM WAIVER SUBSTITUTION)

Each individual participant must personally agree to this waiver.

· Registration through Scoreholio constitutes agreement 

· No participant may compete without accepting this waiver 

· Team captains do not waive rights on behalf of others 

12. Minors

If Participant is under 18:

· A parent or legal guardian must sign 

· The guardian agrees to all terms on behalf of the minor 

· The guardian also agrees to indemnify the Released Parties 

13. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

14. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington.

I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.
I SIGN OR AGREE FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY.
